Solid drawing Salvarez. Following on from the two critiquers benefitting from your pose and exercising their animation eyes, I would say the line of action throgh the upper body is too straight for what you are aiming for. A straight line suggests alertness or tension.
A relaxed person is curvey and flowy, like a gentle winding stream, So adding some subtle arcs by dropping the shoulders and tilting the upper chest slightly forward and then bringing the head forward from the base of the neck so that it angles out at about 45 degrees, with about the same chin tilt as you have, may start seeing the pose develop into your description.
Act it out and collect or find video reference.
The leg and feet positions are appealing and clearly a contact pose. Everybody should drift their eyes across that part of your work to see how to get those set up properly.
Love it, though I can also see him slouched forward slightly. Your folds in clothing are getting better. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a good pose! I would suggest creating a curve more in it's posture like a U shape. :)
